Wonderful
eight hours sleep! Probably as I know there are no more hospital appointments
until surgery on 6th Sept! A full two weeks to relax and be “normal”!
The
ultrasound finally carried out, thoroughly, by a lovely man who treated me
seriously and in a gentle manner. He said everything was fine, just a couple of
cysts on my liver which were nothing to worry about – probably the cause of the
occasional “dull ache”. Of course we panicked until we read on the
Cancercare.org site that this was quite a usual finding in about 5% of the
population.
Opened
the shutters this morning to see the cows in the field next door who peered up
when they saw me! Sunshine on the hill and the field of wheat turning gold.
Thinking I may have a short run before catching the bus to town to meet Maisie
for coffee and cakes after work at 2pm!
Looking
forward to having Alice at home for a few days next week (She is having some
treats at Grandma’s this week!).
We have been thinking a lot about you today Lu-Lu, James and I were in town this morning and we passed a shop counter with a breast awareness campaign. James enjoyed posting a donation and chose a brightly coloured badge with a sun and bikini. It reminded us of our sunny day at the beach last week. James held it all the way home saying "this for Lu-Lu"
ReplyDeleteThen later we ventured out to the compost heap under umbrellas as it rained buckets over us. We danced and pranced about for a while on the lawn and sang a wobbly verion of Gene Kelly's classic ! We eventually collapsed into a slippery heap but had good fun!
And this all inspired by your blog title!
We have found your blog to be a compelling read, brave, honest and above all human. We are deeply touched by your story so far. Hugs K, M & J xxx ps have been hunting for a silk shirt which I had for ages but now can't find annoyingly - will keep looking though..
I wish I had been with you both today to share your fun (maybe in a yellow bikini dancing in the rain!)Maisie and me were caught in a shower after our chocolate brownie and we skipped through town with our heads and faces covered with Maisies scarf! Did a shop til you drop with lovely undies for Maisie and slippers and nice knickers for me! Lovely to hear James has a special badge. Am still looking at the photos of last week! Thank you for all the lovely thoughts and words. They make a difference. X
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a lovely day and very envious of the chocolate rocky road!!! Have found the silk shirt! Don't know if it will work as it has buttons on the sleeves, it's medium, pale beige and 100% silk - bought from Zara in Spain! many moons ago but hardly worn. You can have a look when I see you next and decide if any good. We did more "dancing and prancing" in the rain tonight and Daddy joined in too, managed to take a few photos of the event so will send you some by e-mail LOL xxx
